Eventov's paintings are characterized by thick application of acrylic paint using a selection of different size palette knives. The paint is applied as both blended and pure colors. Smaller knives are used to create depth and detail in her paintings. She then uses a series of varnishes designed to create a "wet paint effect".

The unique works of Darina Marko are achieved by a multi-layering process consisting of contrasting textures. The overlaying of finely hand-made paper, molding plaster, gloss gel acrylic paints and the mixing of silca sand to help create these highly complex paintings. Details are accentuated using oil pastels and pencil, creating sharp and bold depictions of still lifes.
