Borowski Glass

Glasstudio Borowski was founded in 1990 by renowned glass artist and engraver Stanislaw Borowski, whose work has been internationally exhibited for the past 25 years and which is included in many major national and international museum collections.

In 1993 Stanislaw Borowski's sons Pawel and Wiktor Borowski took the helm of Glasstudio Borowski GmbH. In addition to Stanislaw Borowski's own one-of-a-kind objects, they started to design a collection of studio glass, that immediately became popular, not only with art and glass collectors, but with the public in general.

Pawel and Wiktor Borowski next designed a very contemporary collection of accessories, that exceeded the usual shapes of bowls, vases and candlesticks. Their unusual shapes and bold colors proved to be very successful, and their objects were shown by international art galleries as well as by the finest European design studios.

Hamilton Aguiar

"An artist must paint, not what he sees in nature but what is there... He does not try to bypass nature; his work is superior to nature's surface appearances, but not to is basic laws."

Hamilton Aguiar (1965) was born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. In 1987 he moved to the United States to pursue his passion of art. During his many years of studying art and working in art restoration, Aguiar began to explore various painting techniques.

His current series of paintings reaches a new and unique level. Aguiar applies silver leaf over the entire background of his linen canvases and then creates washes and shadows with oil paint. The images radiate a dramatic light due to the interaction between the richness of the oils and the mercurial nature of the silver.

The composition of his paintings is inspired by the changing seasons of natural landscapes, which are interpreted in a powerfully monochromatic content.

Already acquired by numerous private collectors and represented by many prestigious galleries across the United States, Hamilton Aguiar 's art is quickly receiving well-deserved national recognition.
